Greenways Awards Ceremony, and speaker about French Creek

The public is invited to attend the free outdoors Annual Greenways Awards Ceremony on Friday afternoon, August 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Riverfront Park in Franklin, at the mouth of French Creek as it enters the Allegheny River. We’ll be beneath a tent canopy, rain or shine.
Guest speaker Brenda Costa (Executive Director of French Creek Valley Conservancy) will present a brief program about the natural resources of French Creek watershed, which is designated by the Commonwealth as the Pennsylvania 2022 River of the Year.
Greenways Awards will then be presented to the following three recipients: Greenways Volunteer of the Year — Jessica Hilburn of Titusville, PA; Greenways Partner of the Year — Cochranton Borough in Crawford County; and Greenways Neighbor of the Year — Lander’s General Store and its owner Randy Lander of Lucinda, PA in Clarion County.
No RSVPs are needed. Light refreshments available on site.
