City of Meadville issued the following announcement.
Meadville City Council is currently seeking applicants to fill vacancies on a number of City Authorities, Boards, and Commissions. The City of Meadville currently has thirteen Authorities, Boards, and Commissions, which are all operated by volunteers, who assist City Staff and City Council in an advisory capacity and provide invaluable insight and knowledge into specific areas of expertise.
Those interested in applying to one of the vacancies listed below should complete an Application to Serve on an Authority, Board, or Commission and return it to the City Clerk’s Office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 28th. Applications are available for download online at www.cityofmeadville.org/abcs or at the Office of the City Clerk located at the City Building, 894 Diamond Park, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. .
• Codes Appeal Board – 1 vacant seat
• Housing Authority – 1 vacant seat – 5-year term
• Planning & Zoning Commission – 2 vacant seats – 4-year term
• Redevelopment Authority – 1 vacant seat – 5-year term
• Shade Tree Commission – 1 vacant seat – 5-year term
