Roae to Host Two Final Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinics
State Rep. Brad Roae — Pennsylvania 6th Legislative District

Representative Brad Roae of the 6th District in Pennsylvania has announced that he will be hosting two final Property Tax/Rent Rebate (PT/RR) clinics on Wednesday, March 13. The events will take place at the Shontz Memorial Library in Conneaut Lake from 10 a.m. to noon, and at the Bair Family Center in Linesville from 1-3 p.m.

Roae emphasized that assistance with completing a Property Tax/Rent Rebate application should not come at a cost, stating, “No one should pay for assistance completing a Property Tax/Rent Rebate application.” He assured that his staff can efficiently help with the application process, especially with the income limit for this year’s program being raised to $45,000. Roae explained, “The way this is calculated only half of a person’s Social Security income counts.”

The PTRR program is available to individuals aged 65 and older, widows and widowers aged 50 and older, and individuals with disabilities aged 18 and older. For those unable to attend the clinics, assistance with completing an application is available at Roae’s district offices in Meadville, Cranesville, and Linesville.

The maximum rebate under the program has been increased from $650 to $1,000, funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery rather than sales tax or personal income tax revenue. The 6th Legislative District covered by Roae includes various townships and boroughs in Crawford and Erie Counties.

Individuals interested in learning more about the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program or seeking assistance with their applications can contact Representative Roae’s office for further information.
