Good morning, most folks are in a lull after the holiday bustle, and the routines of the new year set in. Some have made resolutions, others are just ready to change from what last year may or may not have brought into their lives. There are even folks that wait to see what life will bring their way. I choose to think on what I hope I can accomplish this year, and then make a plan to work on that goal for as long as my fortitude will let me. We all have 12 months to attain some sort of tangible goal, and even if they are small, or unnoticeable to others, try your best to reach a new goal this year, the feeling of success can be a driving force in your outlook.
As I had mentioned in an earlier column, I will submit a column to the Titusville News-Journal for publication in their new paper, as well as continue posting my Townville News each week on the unofficial Townville Face Book page. The new publication is also going digital too. Originally, the paper was being provided to the Titusville and Hydetown area. Now it is expanding its distribution area with offering subscriptions to those outside of the city limits and zip code area. A year’s subscription cost is reasonable to cover the postage to mail your weekly copy, by calling 1 888 665 8291 to get signed up. I apologize for having the wrong number last week.

From the Kitchen
The recipe this week is for a “Diabetic Fruit Punch”, which can be saved for any occasion during the year.
Be sure to chill your beverages before blending a two-liter bottle of diet Sprite or Sprite Zero Sugar, one 46 ounce can of unsweetened pineapple juice. Then add a .13-ounce package of unsweetened blueberry Kool-Aid, (or other blue colored flavoring of drink mix), and one-half cup of Splenda or other granulated sugar substitute. Serve over ice in a glass. Garnish with lime slices, if desired.
There are 14 servings in this recipe. Each serving has 52 calories, and only one fruit on the exchange food program.
Have a Happy …
