SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

RHONDA CLARK holds a Master’s degree in Russian and East European Studies, a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science, and a Doctorate in Russian History. She has extensive experience in overseas archives. She now teaches full-time in the Department of Library Science at Clarion University, working with the arrangement and preservation of local library collections, reference skills for local history and genealogy, and the digitization of unique local items for digital library collections.  She also volunteers her spare time in projects with local libraries, historical societies, and city planning organizations.

JENN BURDEN is currently the Heritage Program Director at the Oil Region Alliance where she oversees projects and programs in the Oil Region National Heritage Area.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s of Science degree in Historic Preservation from Ball State University, Muncie, IN.  Before joining ORA, Jenn was an Architectural Historian for a private cultural resource management firm where she worked on projects across the country.  Her interest in historic cemeteries comes from her parents, who never met a cemetery not worth exploring.

J. JAMIESON is the genealogy reference specialist at the Maine State Library, which lets her indulge her love of books and genealogy to an extent that she didn’t think was possible before she accepted the position. She has a postgraduate in genealogy from the University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland) as well as a master’s degree in library science from Clarion University. When she isn’t tracing ancestors (her own and other people’s) she can be found knitting or playing with foster cats.

WILLIAM B. MOORE is a Meadville native, a graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School, Dickinson College and Harvard Law School.  He was an attorney in Meadville until his retirement in 2016.  He has been a family history hobbyist since 1972 and an old house hobbyist before that.  He is active with the Crawford County Historical Society since 1976.  Co-editor and regular contributor to the Crawford County Genealogical Society magazine for 30 years, co-author of Oil Boom Architecture (Titusville, Petroleum Center and Pithole) and Postcard History of Meadville.
